"I didn't want to take away her curiosity. I wanted to give it somewhere safe to go."
A Mom. A Question.
A Better Answer.
It started in a living room in Austin, Texas. Sarah — our founder, an early childhood educator and mom of two — watched her daughter Maya struggling with ordinary scissors, trying to cut cardboard for a project. Her instinct was to take the scissors away. Instead, she asked: why isn't there a safe tool built for this?
Building and cutting cardboard activates engineering thinking, spatial reasoning, and fine motor skills — all critical for kids ages 6 and up. The problem wasn't Maya's drive to create. The problem was that no safe cutting tool existed to support it.
"Three years. Forty-seven prototypes. Hundreds of families. One goal: give kids a real tool that does real things — safely."
Today, Kidinno is a kid-safe power tool for cutting cardboard — ASTM F963 certified, trusted by 40,000+ families across all 50 states, and used in over 800 U.S. classrooms.
"Maya is seven now and still loves to build things. My promise: Kidinno will always put your child's safety and growth first."
